I am a hobbyist photographer on a journey to raise my photography skills to the next level. Living in Colorado, many of my pictures display the natural beauty of Rocky Mountain flora and fauna. More recently I've begun to branch out into other subject areas, so you never can tell what my next picture will be.

My current long term photography project is Project 365: a picture every day during 2009.

Some of my photos are featured in the Pentax Photo Gallery at http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/alanbland

Stumbled across your site and enjoyed poking around. Lots of nice work here. The Project 365 is turning out very well - I was expecting a whole lot of nothing with a few nice shots thrown in but you seem to be able to summon a very creative eye almost every day! I live in Longmont, and have ended up shooting many of the same areas. it is very inspirational to see someone else's take on the same locations.

I am also newly located on Zenfolio as well, and really like it so far.

Thanks for sharing!

Most of the images here are taken with the Pentax K10D and various lenses: FA 77mm, DA 35mm, DA 18-55mm, and Tamron 70-300mm. Those two fireworks shots used the DA 18-55mm. Thanks for viewing.
